How do I sharpen the Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen?

So I bought the Endless Silky Eye Pen from Target for $14 and I umed that it would be twist up or SOMETHING since the pencil body itself is not wooden and cannot be sharpened. I have spent a lot of time looking at this thing and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to sharpen it/extend it. I feel really stupid because there MUST be a way. Please help!
