What does "continuous yardage" mean?

I'm the Captain of the Equestrian Team at my school, and we're doing a "blanket making" where we're taking two pieces of fleece and tying them together to make blankets. The solid we want comes in cuts of 2 yards, but the print we want gives us an option of either "half yard" or "continuous yardage." So... what does "continuous yardage" mean? How many yards is that? I just don't want to order too much or too little.
