Do society finches make or find their nest for mating?

There are 2 basic styles of nests. Closed like what you bought and open, which is more like a cup or hemisphere. Some finches seem to prefer whatever type they were born in. I've used what you bought for my Owl Finches and my Gouldians, and they seemed to like them. Some finches don't seem to care. My zebras will use their food dish in a pinch-heck, they'd probably lay an egg in my hand if I stood still long enough. I didn't think Society Finches were all that picky.
