This is a health question. I have been having this really sharp pain in my spine, cont. below?

it start just below my neck on my back. It has gone so sharp that is wakes me up. Sometimes it seems to travel down to the middle of my back. I am 49 years old, has any one felt this same pain and maybe it is just a getting older pain. No jokes please. This is serious and only serious answer. Thank You.
