With regards to Olbers' Paradox, why is this theory proof of the big bang in any way?

Could you not reason that the sky is not bright because stars are not the only things that materialize in the known universe, and that black matter exists, and life cycles of stars are not always at their brightest, and they do burn to lesser bright forms, and all of these could also the reason why the sky is dark?
