Are gas prices high because of few refineries;oil futures speculators;Hugo Chavez;OPEC pricing; or Iraq War?

Yes, our leaders are lying incompetents, but they are not the reason gas prices are so high. And although I do believe that there need to be more refinaries it's really the simple law of supply and demand that is keeping gas prices high. With the economic explosions that we're seeing espescially in China, India, and Eastern Europe more people and businesses are competing for a finite resource. My prediction is that in upcoming years the world will most certainly see more wars as well as higher fuel prices as competition become more stiff. I'd also like to add that the Iraq War is not a primary reason (I will concede that it doesn't help) for the high price of fuel. If anything the United States is in Iraq in attempt to try and secure a piece of the "oil pie" so to speak. There are many that disagree with me here, but for the record there has been no war in the history of civilization that HASN'T been directly tracable back to the want of money and resources. Afterall, there are heartless dictators the world over. Why aren't we trying to "spread democracy" to them?

Need some anonymous interpretation of a really f'ed up dream?

I don't believe that dreams reflect anything other than maybe mood (ie. stress). Also, I should note that I'm not stressed out and this is kind of embaring to me. Anyway, the dream started off with my family including extended family at my parents house for either Christmas or Thanksgiving. This is unusual and never happens. My roomate is also there. My aunt comes up to me and my roomate and whispers to us that she is lucifer and we are going to die? The dream is extremely vivid and aunt's eyes turn bright red and is crying blood. My roomate becomes possessed and begins to strangle me. I fight him off and he begins tearing his teeth and face off while everyone sits around and pretends that it isn't happening or that he is there. I try to pretend that it isn't happening and my parents cat comes up to me and begins to talk like a little kid. I don't remember what it said but then i remember it saying something about raping a baby? The cat then begins to cry like a baby and latches on to me with its claws and begins biting me furiously. The only way I can get it off is to bite it back into pieces and spiting them on the floor. Oh, did I mention that the cat is destroying my groin the whole time? The room is now empty but I can see outside the window that there is a bus with a clown driving. The bus levitates and all the kids are thrown out the back. The bus driver is no this italian looking man in black and he backs up over the children. The bus then turns and smashes into the house. The whole room goes black and the bus is not there anymore. Then a door bell rings. It is a neighbor I've not seen from childhood, a little girl. She is crying and trying to come inside. I then see she is crying blood and I begin screaming that the devil cannot come in to my house repeatedly. She is pushing and pushing slapping punching kicking trying to get in. She gets in and then turns into the devil. Again extremely vivid. It is an italian looking short thin guy wearing a suit with stylish black hair. His lips are black and I was not able to see his eyes because they were pitch black. He keeps calling me by my name saying that I'm going to hell. He is calm and collective. I yell at him saying that I don't need God's help to kill him and call him a "". Out of no where he screams, his face elongates and his mouth opens really wide and comes at me in a blink of an eye. I wake up at 5am and don't go back to sleep. I am not very religious and this dream came out of no where. I don't usually have nightmares or even dreams this vivid or scary. I don't think i could even think of something this grusome and scary. Idk, what do you think. Pretty f'ed up right?

Should I give up vegetarianism?

I have been a vegetarian for almost two years now. I started when I was fourteen and I'm sixteen now. As a teenage girl, my doctor has always been wary about my diet, saying that I lack iron and protein. At first, I didn't really care because I didn't see the harm it was causing me. As time has progressed, I get sick frequently, I lose my already thin hair often, and I'm border-line anemic. I originally became a vegetarian because I believe in fair treatment of animals, and a good majority of animals are tortured in slaughter houses. Though this disgusts me, at a certain point I must look out for my own health. I have tried taking iron pills and getting protein elsewhere, but I just can't seem to get enough of it to stay healthy. I never had problems with my health before becoming a vegetarian, other than the common illness. So, should I give up vegetarian for my health? Or should I stay a vegetarian because it's wrong to torture and animals?

I'm only fourteen, come from a Jewish and Atheist family, so bare with me. While I've been bored lately I decided to read a few different holy books and I don't understand what most of them were trying to say. For instance in the Holy Bible/Torah or Qur’an why would God use metaphors or other figurative languages to reference to other things? Wouldn't God be direct and allow all people (uneducated, disabled, etc) to understand his divine word? Also, wouldn't we see statistical evidence in the right religion? I started having a sore throat Saturday. Sunday my throat hurt so bad and I couldn't talk. Monday it was still bad so I went to the dr and he said I have bronchitis and put me on prednisone. I only have to take it for 5 days. I was supposed to start my period yesterday and nada. I don't have any af symptoms or anything...just the sickness. I blow my nose every 2 minutes and my throat hurts (all from the bronchitis) I took a test this morning and it was negative. Is there a chance I'm still pregnant? What is this pain I've been feeling?

I have been a vegetarian for a little over a year, but a few months before I began this lifestyle I developed something I referred to as the 'tummy feeling'. This was a gy uncomfort in my lower abdomen that seemed to come right out of no where. My doctor said it could possibly be lactose intolerance, and to test it out by not eating any and then seeing how I feel after a gl of milk. I'm pretty sure that was the case, so now I avoid dairy products and/or use the aid of dairy dietary supplements. The past few weeks though, I've been feeling gy and achy even if I havent had anything to eat, or if I've made certain not to have anything with dairy. I used to think I had IBS, and as of lately I've started to think that might be accurate. Also I get sharp aches within 10 minutes of eating. Any ideas?

To youngsters with thoughts of violence.?

When I was young I was having thoughts of violence against my mother. After a few times they were getting worse and worse. My ex-stepfather had been a teacher and so I thought that if I wrote down my thoughts it would help. If you are having thoughts of violence you should write them down now before you read any farther. It was amazing what happened next. I reread what I wrote and the only thought that came to me was that I just wrote out proof of my crime. I decided to save it in the closet (symbolic) and hoped that it would not get discovered and hoped that if it did at least I would get helped. The confession led to the symbolism and the symbolism led to peace and the peace led me to the answer. In the moment of peace that I felt when I thought I had my answer for help my eyes wandered over to my bedroom window where I saw the rosebush my grandmother had planted under it for me. It was then that the real answer dawned on me and I saw what I had not been able to see. Normally when you look out the window you cannot see light or air, but I could see the rosebush planted by my mom's own mother and I knew then the answer and the question. Please do not just read this but do it yourself on your knees and see what happens.

I can see this from both sides. I could see him being upset. After all, guys really don't have any say in whether or not they get to keep a child. Help understanding nutrition, carbs versus calories, & weight gain?

I am trying to wean off the atkins diet, I have been on it for over 2 years and am trying to understand how 3500 calories equals a matter no matter how carbohydrate-y those calories are. I also understand that 1g of carbs = 4 calories. I do not understand however, how I am told that I will not put weight back on after coming off atkins and just counting my calories and watching my overall caloric intake. My 4 month old kitten sneezed a little blood- is this normal with a URI?

I just adopted a 4 month old kitten from a shelter, five days ago I took him to the vet because was sneezing, he has a kitty cold (uri) and is on clavamox, he seemes to be getting better, no watery eyes, huge appetite, drinks water, plays, oh adn no more fever...buuuttt he is still a little congested and has sneezing fits here and there....tonight he sneezed and there was a tiny bit of blood. Question about leeds university?

For fashion Leeds is rubbish! I went there and absolutely hated it - I don't know how much this applies to the rest of the art or design courses, because a few of my friends did fine art and loved it, and most of my problems with my course were the utterly crap tutors, the things they taught were really below a normal standard and I feel like it was a total waste of three years. I didn't like the city very much either - I've lived in much better cities, but there were some other things about the uni that I liked, like it has a really good atmosphere, the union is great and has a whole nightlife all in one building, and they do elective modules with all of their degrees so you get to pick one completely random subject each term to study which can be unrelated to your course, so I found that refreshing and a good way to broaden your mind a bit. But other than that I would never reccommend my course to anyone. Is there a reason why it's just those two that you're choosing between, coz they seem like two very random ones?! Leeds college of art and design is supposed to be quite good for a foundation course, so maybe you could try there and then make a decision about a degree later?

Ok, this sunday because I was feeling experimental I bleached my hair with bleach I got from Sally's. The end result after 2 sessions and toner: Whitish-grey with yellow streaks. NOT hot. SO yesterday I pulled my crap together after everyone at work asked me :"Geez, what happened" and went to a salon. There the girl put a yellowish/reddish dye on top and then highlights all over and toner, which is fine, but the end result is more of a strawberry blonde (not garish, just strawberry). I am thinking that once it fades a bit it will be in between this colour and bleached blonde underneath which I wouldn't mind. How long before it fades? Also what can I do to fade it faster without damaging it more? I have to be gentle with my hair now as it's dry so no more bleaching!

My 7 month old is like a fish out of water at bedtime?

My dog has a few really small lumps on the back of his ears what could they be?

They are any were on the back of his ears and they go away after a while.they are skin colour with a small orange dot on top. You can only see them when you separate the fur but if you run your hand over the ear you can feel them. If they are scratched they bleed and the orange tip can be taken of but a new one will appear. We first thought they were gr seeds but they definitely aren't. They keep coming up on his ears and i just want to be sure they are nothing bad. If you have a primer or concealer, apply that to your lid. Then take the nyx palette, and apply the nude color. Then apply the taupe color and blend. In the corner, use the last color (the darkest) and blend for a simple smokey eye. That the liquid liner and line on top keeping close to the lash line. Wing it out slightly to give an awake look. You can line the bottom lashes to if you want. If you have mascara (which I suggest above anything else) apply it. :)

Since this is for winter, I would suggest pastel blues, pastel greens, or maybe a black dress would look good. Short or long depends on the wheather, and how comfortable you guys are with your legs. Does a battery charger put off readable voltage?

ok so i have a dead battery i want to charge. it goes to an electric 4 wheeler for my son. Just got it today and the battery is dead. So i connect the charger and wait. The battery doesn't charge although it looks brand new. So I get my voltage tester and check the battery for voltage- .05 volts. OK. so i check the charger leads to see if maybe the charger is bad. it wont read at all. Shouldn't the charger show the 12v it is supposed to be putting out?

Will this card work in my Windows XP system?

Yes it works with both XP & Vista. Its a couple generations old now but is still a very powerfull video card. This card is a DIRECTX 9 card so although it works with Vista it cant use it to its full advantage as you need a DIRECTX 10 card for all the bells & wissels. It does however support SHADERMODEL 3.0 so plays all the newer games like Crysis & Call of duty 4 just fine. ATI does make a HD 2600XT for AGP as well as a HD 3850 I believe. High end AGP slot cards are hard to come by & a bit more expensive than their PCI-E counterparts. They had a X1950XT AGP at 1 time but I think its been discontinued.

It really helped, she came up with a variety of brands and even found a shade for my unique pale yet tan skin. she will definitly find a colour for you, and make sure you tell her about the orangey problem, she will find one with no orange undertone so this doesnt happen again. I recomend revlon colourstay or maybelline superstay, they both compete with mac and have NO orange undertone :)

There are 2 basic styles of nests. Closed like what you bought and open, which is more like a cup or hemisphere. Some finches seem to prefer whatever type they were born in. I've used what you bought for my Owl Finches and my Gouldians, and they seemed to like them. Some finches don't seem to care. My zebras will use their food dish in a pinch-heck, they'd probably lay an egg in my hand if I stood still long enough. I didn't think Society Finches were all that picky.

Why was the engineering of the World Trade Center so poorly designed?

On 9/11 two planes full of Muslims crashed into the world trade center, right? Why is american engineering so poor? I thought the USA had the worlds best engineers because of all the durability against earth quakes in california and stuff like that. I am confused with the relationship with my bf sometimes?

We have known each other for over a year. I have an almost 4 old (by now) son and he is still a single guy. We went thro the honeymoon stage then I slowly letting him getting used to having a child in the picture. I would love to see a man coming into my life, treating my son like his own. But the reality is that, I should and have to give him time to adjust. At the same time, the relationship seems moving forward steadily, like after the honeymoon stage, he has spent some weekends with all us together for a few months already and recently he is inviting my son into his family functions as well (I went a few times the past year on my own). The confusing part is that, sometimes I want to spend more time with my son, when I feel I haven't spent enough time or when he is not feeling well, then my bf would give me the "space" to stay with my son. I actually would love to see him come to us instead of giving me the "space". His "space" is a "distance" to me. I feels real bad when my son is sick and he is giving me the "space". He is so not involved. Is that what love supposed to bo? I am confused.
